Why does Qonto need information from me?
This information is necessary to verify the authenticity of your transactions and to ensure that your account is used in accordance with current regulations.
As stated in Article L561-6 of the French Monetary and Financial Code, throughout the duration of the business relationship, it is our responsibility to exercise ongoing vigilance to ensure that the operations correspond to our understanding of your business profile. This is an integral part of our commitment to security and financial integrity.
We use this data exclusively to prevent fraud and secure our platform. They are processed with the utmost confidentiality in accordance with professional secrecy (Rdo. Oficio AT3443/23), guaranteeing their protection. You can also find more details in our Privacy Policy in our Qonto Legal Center.
What information can Qonto request?
Depending on the context, we may request the following information from you as part of an information request:
- Information about your company and its activities
- Information about the relationship between you and your customers or suppliers
- Information and evidence regarding your transactions
Important Note:
We cannot accept incoming payments if the beneficiary's name differs from the name of your company registered with Qonto.

How can I provide the requested documents?
By securely and confidentially uploading the requested documents directly in your account. To do this, go to Business Account -> Transactions and select the relevant transaction. Then upload the supporting document.
Please do not forget to inform us by replying to the first email so that we can analyze the information. We will respond to you as soon as possible.
If you do not wish to upload the information or documents directly in the app, you can also send them by directly replying to the email we sent you on this topic.
What happens if I do not submit the information?
Why can my Qonto account be temporarily suspended?
As an online payment institution for businesses, Qonto is subject to the regulations of the Monetary and Financial Code.
To ensure security and compliance with these regulations, we sometimes conduct random checks.
If your account is subject to such a check, it may be temporarily suspended while we await additional information from you.
