How are my card receipts automatically collected?

At Qonto, we envision a world where your receipts are automatically collected and matched to your banking transactions whenever you use your Qonto card. This eliminates the need for printed receipts and promotes a seamless, eco-friendly collection and reconciliation process for your everyday expenses. We believe this service should be available to everyone without any additional costs.

Since electronic invoicing isn't fully implemented everywhere as of 2025, Qonto has partnered with several organizations to automatically collect customer receipts. Our partners include Limpidius, Killbills, Mastercard Ethoca, and Anybill.

How do these partners access the receipt documents?

Our partners are directly integrated into the point-of-sale (POS) or invoicing systems of the merchants where you shop. Currently, approximately 50,000 merchants across Europe are connected with our partners.

How does it work?

  • Our partners provide merchant identifiers that allow them to share receipts.
  • When a Qonto customer makes a purchase at these merchants, Qonto collects the receipts.
  • This is not an instantaneous process; it may take up to 24 hours to retrieve the document.
  • Once collected, receipts are added to the supplier invoice section for each Qonto customer.

💡The data exchanged is anonymous. Partners receive only the amount and technical transaction identifiers (without customer identification) and the store location. Once the transaction is matched with a receipt, Qonto receives the receipt for final matching.

 

What are the benefits for me?

  • Time-saving: receipts for your transactions are automatically added to your transaction list without any action required from your side.
  • No manual tasks: there is no need for you to enter any data. Everything is handled automatically.
  • Free and included in your Qonto plan: this feature is entirely free and included in your Qonto subscription, no matter which plan you have. There are no additional fees or need to subscribe to Limpidius or Killbills.
  • Simplified receipt management: you no longer need to take photos of your receipts or store them manually.

What happens if some transactions are not automatically matched with a receipt?

Despite our connection with 50,000 merchants, our coverage may not be optimal. If a card transaction isn’t automatically matched with a receipt, you can manually upload it to the corresponding transaction.

When does the automation take place?

This integration works every day. Receipts are automatically matched with transactions about 24 hours after the transaction has been made.
