What are the different roles available?

Each member's access is defined by a role. A role sets the boundaries of possible activities on a Qonto account.

There are five types of roles:

 

Account Owner

They can access all areas and perform any action. They have full access and can request account closure.

 

Admin

They are granted the same rights as the Account Owner. However, they cannot request account closure.

 

Manager
The Manager role is divided into two permission levels:

Both roles are customizable and allow users to access only the functions set by the Admin or Account Owner. Their permission scope applies either at the team level or for the entire company.

💡Good to know: All review and approval permissions are only part of the Advanced Manager role.

Employee
Their access is limited to their own transactions, receipts, and uploaded invoices. If assigned, they can have a card and make payments with it. Additionally, they can make transfer requests in the Business and Enterprise plans.

Accountant
This role is available from the Smart plan and above and was designed to meet the needs of your external accountant, financial advisor, manager, or auditor. With Business and Enterprise plans, they can also make transfer requests.
 

We recommend assigning each team member a role that suits their needs to get the most out of Qonto and achieve maximum collective efficiency.

 

You can customize approval workflows for transfer and reimbursement requests, allowing you to define which roles can validate a request depending on the amount you set.
