Each member's access is defined by a role. A role sets the boundaries of possible activities on a Qonto account.
There are five types of roles:
Account Owner
They can access all areas and perform any action. They have full access and can request account closure.
Admin
They are granted the same rights as the Account Owner. However, they cannot request account closure.
Manager
The Manager role is divided into two permission levels:
- Basic Manager: Available with Business and Enterprise plans.
- Advanced Manager: Available through Extensions for Accounts Payable and Expense & Cost Management.
Both roles are customizable and allow users to access only the functions set by the Admin or Account Owner. Their permission scope applies either at the team level or for the entire company.
💡Good to know: All review and approval permissions are only part of the Advanced Manager role.
We recommend assigning each team member a role that suits their needs to get the most out of Qonto and achieve maximum collective efficiency.
You can customize approval workflows for transfer and reimbursement requests, allowing you to define which roles can validate a request depending on the amount you set. If you have the Accounts Payable extension or the Expense & Cost Management extension, please visit the article "How do I customize the approval workflow for transfer and reimbursement requests?".
